Will Cristiano Ronald return to English Premier League?

English newspapers are suggesting today that Cristiano Ronaldo could be on his way back to English Premier League.

William Hill picked up the subject and now offers 4.33 if Ronaldo plays in any English club next season with 1.20 that he won’t.

From other interesting individual bets we can place one on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to make the Euro 2012 squad. After scoring twice against Blackburn the young midfielder is just 2.62 to make it.

Villas Boas and Torres out of Chelsea?

Last weekend was not a best one for Chelsea London even though they got a draw against Manchester United. Going from a 3:0 lead to a 3:3 draw is just not a thing you would expect from such an experienced team.

This result has again brought questions about Andre Villas Boas position at Stamford Bridge and William Hill using this chance to offer some betting on both the coach and Fernando Torres exit from the club. It’s only 4.50 that both will be out of Chelsea by next season.

From other interesting bets we have one for Fernando Torres to fail to score a Premier League goal for the rest of the season – 6.50. Villas Boas himself is just at 2.00 to have left the job by the first day of next season.

Will Jelavic score more than Saha?

There weren’t too many interesting transfer in transfer window. With this in mind bookies have to focus on some relatively smaller players. And here we have an example for this with bets taken on new Everton striker Jelavic outscoring Luis Saha.

The bookies make the former Rangers hotshot odds-on (8/13) to win a Premier League goals match bet with Louis Saha (6/5) who has left the club for Tottenham.

Everton are now also 5/4 to score four or more goals in a single Premier League fixture for the remainder of the season while Jelavic is the 6/1 favourite to score the first goal of the game against Wigan on Saturday.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “We think Moyes’ exchange of strikers will be the solution for Everton’s goal drought. Jelavic will certainly have his backers as he bids to get off the mark this weekend.”

Gerrard favorite to be next English team captain

Liverpool FC skiper Steven Gerrard is hot favorite to be the next English National Team captain. After the troubles with John Terry the position is now free and it’s most likely that experienced midfielder who is also captain for The Reds will pick this role.

According to bet365 Gerrard is 1.40 favorite with Scott Parker and Gareth Barry being next on the list.

Copa del Rey: Barcelona – Real Madrid (25/01/2012)

Time for the second game of Copa del Rey quaterfinal between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. After winning 2:1 at Santiago Bernabeu Catalans are hot favorites to progress to the next round but with Gran Derbi you can’t be sure about the result.

Both teams easily won their weekends game in Primera Division. This means that Real still has 5 points advantage over their closest rivals. And for Jose Mourinho winning La Liga is priority. However it looks that not all is going so great for big Jose in Madrid. The rumor says that he is fed up with all the stars at Madrid and is missing UK football. With all that it’s quite likely he will quit Real after this season. And a great way to quit would be after winning the league.

With this all it’s not really likely that Real will fight to dead to get a win at Camp Nou.

Wouldn’t bet on this game but Ladbrokes is offering a money back if Cristiano Ronaldo scores at any time. Worth taking a bet on Messi to score at any time with 3.50 odds.

Carling Cup: Liverpool – Manchester City (25/01/2012)

It’s time to come back to Carling Cup semi finals with an exciting game between Liverpool and Manchester City at Anfield Road.

The Reds have won the first one in Manchester after Steven Gerrard’s penalty goal. However they are still far away from getting into the final as Citizens are surely on form and a league win over Tottenham at the weekend has just made their morale better.

Liverpool can’t be that happy with their weekend result as the surprisingly lost to Bolton 1:3. This loss means that The Reds are now on 7th position in the table and winning in Cup might be their only way to Europe for next season. City doesn’t have such problems. They’re leading the table and even if they don’t win the league they can be quite sure of their Champions League qualification.

With this in mind Liverpool has more to play for. No major injury concerns in both teams. Liverpool will have to play without Suarez, who is still banned and Citizens won’t be able to use Toure brothers, who traveled to African Cup of Nations.

Primera Division: Real Madrid – Athletic (22/01/2012)

Real Madrid has again failed to beat FC Barcelona in the El Classico. What is more Jose Mourinho stars have lost again at their own stadium and they are surely not favorites to qualify to next stage of Copa del Rey with the second game played in Camp Nou.

Before Real can again face Barca they will need to play their league game against Athletic. I could be a bit afraid that a game between two Gran Derbi clashes will not get a 100% focus from Galacticos but it all looks that Mourinho and especially his players know that league is their priority and even with losses against Barca they can get enough points to win title.

Injury news:
Athletic: Gabilondo, Ocio, Gurpegui, Castillo – out
Real: Khedira out, Di Maria – not likely to play

Premier League: Bolton – Liverpool (21/01/2012)

Quite interesting fixture at Reebok Stadium in Bolton. A win for home team against such good rivals could potentially mean a big turnaround in their Premier League campaign this season. And it’s not going any good for the moment. Bolton is one of the worst teams in the league with only 16 points out of 21 games. While a win against the Reds could lift them to 16th position but a loss might as well mean a drop to the last one. And looking at the potential of those teams this second scenario looks more likely.

Liverpool will play without banned Suarez and injured Spearing and Lucas. Bolton will have to do without Mears, Holden and Lee Chung-Yong.

Liverpool to win with 1.67 from Ladbrokes

Premier League: Norwich – Chelsea (21/01/2012)

Time to look into the next Premier League round. It will all begin with a Norwich City – Chelsea London game. Both teams are on a run of two league wins. Norwich won against West Brom and QPR, while Chelsea beaten Sunderland and Wolves.

Chelsea will play without Obi Mikel and Ivanovic and Norwich will have to do without Vaughan and Ward.

In recent interviews John Terry made it clear that he is still hoping to win the league this season. “I won’t ever give up. I am sure my team-mates and the management are the same,” Terry insisted to TalkSPORT. While the other news from Stamford Bridge are claiming that Drogba is close to exit in order to make some more space for Fernando Torres

Odds are still decent – around 1.60 for Chelsea win, but the tendency is dropping and some bookies are already at 1.50. Might be a good idea to place your bets fast as the Blues win should be on the schedule for this weekend.
