Premier League: Arsenal – Newcastle 13/03/2012

Arsenal is in a good run of form in recent weeks and even the “good bye” from Champions League was a nice 3:0 win over AC Milan.

Now the Gooners have to focus strongly on Premier League to make sure they will come back to top flight European football next year. And that means that a home game against Newcastle has to bring 3 points.

Arsenal scored 16 goals in their last 5 games winning their last 4 league ones. However Newcastle knew how to stop the Gooners in their previous league game (0:0 on 13/08/2011).

Last 6 Arsenal games:

Liverpool 1:2 Arsenal
Arsenal 5:2 Tottenh.
Sunderl. 1:2 Arsenal

Barcelona is an obvious favorite to win this game but we need to keep in mind that Catalans have already made a few bad mistakes in their La Liga campaign this season. Racing is fighting their relegation battle and they will fight hard for points at their own stadium even against such hard opponent. And they did already prove their home strength getting away with draws against Atletico and Valencia.

Premier League: Swansea – Manchester City

Manchester City is having a pretty good run of form in Premier League. Even though they still need to be very careful as their local rivals are close behind and the Championship race is still wide open between them.

United are facing a pretty easy game this round facing West Brom at Old Trafford. With this in mind Citizens need to get 3 points from Swansea and it will surely not be an easy task.

Last games from Swansea:

Wigan 0:2 Swansea
Stoke City 2:0 Swansea
Swansea 2:3 Norwich
West Br. 1:2 Swansea
Swansea 1:1 Chelsea
Sunderl. 2:0 Swansea

Last games from Man City:

Man. City 2:0 Bolton
Man. City 3:0 Blackburn
Aston Villa 0:1 Man. City
Man. City 3:0 Fulham
Everton 1:0 Man. City
Man. City 3:2 Tottenh.

It will be interesting to see if Carlos Tevez will be given a chance to play for City again after his recent problems. But with Aguero, Dzeko and Balotelli in good form Roberto Mancini shouldn’t have problems with picking the starting line up.

Citizens are 1.57 for a win from William Hill. A bet worth placing.

Premier League: Chelsea – Stoke City

It will be the first Chelsea game after Andre Villas Boas departure. The new coach will find it really difficult to fight back in Premier League race for top 4 which will guarantee Champions League football for next season.

Chelsea last games:

West Br. 1:0 Chelsea
Chelsea 3:0 Bolton
Everton 2:0 Chelsea
Chelsea 3:3 Man. Utd.
Swansea 1:1 Chelsea
Norwich 0:0 Chelsea

Stoke last games:

Stoke City 1:0 Norwich
Stoke City 2:0 Swansea
Fulham 2:1 Stoke City
Stoke City 0:1 Sunderl.
Man. Utd. 2:0 Stoke City
Stoke City 1:2 West Br.

Their last game finished with 0:0 draw. This time Chelsea should be motivated enough to claim 3 points.

Champions League: Arsenal – Milan

After loosing 0:4 at San Siro in their first game Arsenal can’t be really counting on Champions League qualification against Milan. Still the Gunners will fight hard and their last Premier League game against Liverpool shows they are in decent form.

Milan will come to defend their lead and knowing the Italian style they will get the result they want but with such advantage a minimal loss will do them no harm. That’s why it’s worth to place a bet on Arsenal win.

The game will be also very interesting clash of two great strikers. Robin van Persie already scored 4 goals in his 9 games in Champions League this season while on the other end Zlatan Ibrahimovic got 5 out of just 7 games.

Van Persie added 2 to his scoring account against Liverpool and should be able to score at least one against Milan.

Arsenal for a win with 2.12 from Titan Bet

Premier League: Tottenham – Manchester

We’ve seen one huge Premier League game yesterday when Arsenal got away with a win from Anfield Road after 2 goals from Robin van Persie.

Today it’s time for second big clash in which Manchester United is visiting White Hart Lane to face Tottenham. 2nd and 3rd team in league table promise a great game and Titan Bet is giving some great betting opportunities.

It’s firstly worth to consider a bet on Manchester United to keep a clean sheet at least in first half. Red Devils managed to make it in their last 10 out of 13 away games this season. However it still should be a quite high scoring game as Sir Alex Ferguson team is on the good run with 12 goals in their last 5 away games.

Tottenham hasn’t lost any of their last 5 home games, winnning 4 of those and getting just one draw so Harry Redknapp is surely counting on another good performance here. A win would keep their chances even for league win and surely make it much closer to 2nd place.

Who will score most goals in Premier League this weekend?

bet365 is well known from their betting offering. This weekend their traders decided to give us a chance to bet on the highest scoring team in the league. With some top teams playing very hard games like Man United vs Tottenham and Liverpool vs Arsenal it’s Manchester City that is the favorite in this race with odds of 2.85. Citizens are facing Bolton in one that all see as an easy win for Roberto Mancini.

bet365 spokesman Steve Freeth said: “The usual suspects at the top of the market are playing each other leaving Man City a warm order to see off a side with a current goal difference of -25.”

Arsenal special betting from bet365

It was a great weekend for all Arsenal fans. The Gunners came back from 2 goals behind to claim a win against Tottenham Hotspur. 3 points in this game extended their chances for top 4 finish.

“Wenger is understandably bullish about the chances of finishing the campaign in front of Redknapp, but at 7.00 (6/1) we feel that the wheels will have to well and truly come off the Spurs bandwagon for that to happen.”

After the win Robin van Persie stated that he will sign new contract with Arsenal only if they do qualify for Champions League for next season. The Dutch international is now at 1.50 (1/2) to leave Emirates before new season.

Premier League: Arsenal – Tottenham

It will be one of the most important games for both teams this season. Tottenham is currently in better situation as they are 10 points ahead of The Gunners in league table and still have some chances for winning. Arsenal is 4th but Chelsea is level on points while Newcastle is just a point behind them. Liverpool is also pushing from 7th spot being only 4 points behind.

Arsenal lost their Champions League game against Milan 0:4. This result means that they don’t really have chances to get through to the next round and will need to focus on securing Champions League football for next season.

Arsenal has some injury problems with Mertesacker, Diaby, Jenkinson, Wilshere, Andre Santos and Frimpong all out. Tottenham will need to do without Gallas, Huddlestone, Jenas and Bentley.

Tottenham gave a great performance in their last Premier League game betting Newcastle 5:0. It will be hard to repeat such good result in derby game but they are surely favorites. However Arsenal still has a very good team and can win against every opponent.

Both teams to score seems a fair bet on this one with 1.50 from William Hill

Premier League betting preview 25/02/2012

It’s going to be a very interesting afternoon in English Premier League today. With games like Chelsea – Bolton and Man City – Blackburn we might see some high wins from favorites but on the other hand this season in England is just unpredictable so we might as well see some surprices.

Chelsea – Bolton

Chelsea is an obvious favorite to win. After a surprising loss last weekend at Everton Andre Villas Boas is surely praying for 3 points at Stamford Bridge. The opponent should make it quite easy for Portuguese coach as Bolton will play without a few important players. Sordell, Alonso, Gardner, Davis, Holden, Davies and Chung-Yong are all injured. Should be quite easy for Chelsea so a win with 1.28 from Unibet

Newcastle – Wolves

After a heavy beating in London against Tottenham Newcastle is now coming back home and will fight hard to improve their performance in front of their own fans. Wolves are not in top form and the coach changes are never good for teams in middle of their season. Hard to expect Wolves to get anything out of this fixture. Newcastle to win with 1.57 from bet365

Manchester City – Blackburn

It’s not going that easy for Citizens in their Championship campaign. The local rivals are pushing them hard from 2nd place and in addition to that they had a hard Europa League game against FC Porto.

But Roberto Mancini has a strong team with a wide bench. Another addition to this bench will be Carlos Tevez. A likely come back for Argentinian international might be very helpful for the remaining part of this season.

Blackburn is fighting its relegation battle. Last win against QPR gave another very important 3 points but now it will be much harder and I’m not expecting points for quests in this match. City to win with 1.80 from Unibet
