Premier League betting preview 25/02/2012

It’s going to be a very interesting afternoon in English Premier League today. With games like Chelsea – Bolton and Man City – Blackburn we might see some high wins from favorites but on the other hand this season in England is just unpredictable so we might as well see some surprices.

Chelsea – Bolton

Chelsea is an obvious favorite to win. After a surprising loss last weekend at Everton Andre Villas Boas is surely praying for 3 points at Stamford Bridge. The opponent should make it quite easy for Portuguese coach as Bolton will play without a few important players. Sordell, Alonso, Gardner, Davis, Holden, Davies and Chung-Yong are all injured. Should be quite easy for Chelsea so a win with 1.28 from Unibet

Newcastle – Wolves

After a heavy beating in London against Tottenham Newcastle is now coming back home and will fight hard to improve their performance in front of their own fans. Wolves are not in top form and the coach changes are never good for teams in middle of their season. Hard to expect Wolves to get anything out of this fixture. Newcastle to win with 1.57 from bet365

Manchester City – Blackburn

It’s not going that easy for Citizens in their Championship campaign. The local rivals are pushing them hard from 2nd place and in addition to that they had a hard Europa League game against FC Porto.

But Roberto Mancini has a strong team with a wide bench. Another addition to this bench will be Carlos Tevez. A likely come back for Argentinian international might be very helpful for the remaining part of this season.

Blackburn is fighting its relegation battle. Last win against QPR gave another very important 3 points but now it will be much harder and I’m not expecting points for quests in this match. City to win with 1.80 from Unibet

Premier League: Bolton – Liverpool (21/01/2012)

Quite interesting fixture at Reebok Stadium in Bolton. A win for home team against such good rivals could potentially mean a big turnaround in their Premier League campaign this season. And it’s not going any good for the moment. Bolton is one of the worst teams in the league with only 16 points out of 21 games. While a win against the Reds could lift them to 16th position but a loss might as well mean a drop to the last one. And looking at the potential of those teams this second scenario looks more likely.

Liverpool will play without banned Suarez and injured Spearing and Lucas. Bolton will have to do without Mears, Holden and Lee Chung-Yong.

Premier League: Everton – Bolton (04/01/2012)

Everton is surely not an impressive team this season. Still David Moyes has again showed he is a really good coach and after a last minute departure of Arteta to Arsenal, he has managed to get the team together resulting in a really decent 11th position in the league with 2 games in hand, meaning they can still easily get into top 10.

It all looks much worse for Bolton. The team from Reebok Stadium had some pretty good seasons in their Premier League history but if things don’t change quickly it might be their last one in top flight.

What makes it really bad for Bolton is their injury list as they will need to play without Mears, Davis, Riley, Gardner, Alonso, Holden and Lee Chung-Young. The only missing player for Everton is Fellaini.

Premier League: Tottenham – Bolton 03/12/2011

It was a bad midweek evening for Tottenham, when they faced PAOK in their Europa League game. Loosing 1:2 at home made it clear that Spurs are not really interested in going to the next stage of the competition and rather wants to focus fully on Premier League. And to be honest they are completely right here. So far they are doing very well, being just behind Man City and Man United with a game in hand. And with Chelsea and Liverpool with a quite mixed form they have a good chance to secure a top 4 position for the end of season and again qualify to Champions League.

Tottenham is playing great in Premier League winning last games against West Brom, Aston Villa, Fulham, QPR and Blackburn. Bolton is quite opposite with only one win against Stoke and looses against Everton, West Brom and Swansea. Away games are just not the favorite thing to win points for them.

What is worse the injury list for Bolton is quite long. They will need to play without Marcos Alonso, Tears, Davis, Ricketts, Gardner, Holden and Chung-Yong Lee.

Odds for Tottenham are low – 1.29 from bet365. It looks better for half time/full time – 1.73

Premier League: Liverpool – Bolton Preview

Liverpool had a very solid start of this Premier League season. After so many changes in the team you could have expected The Reds to struggle in the first games. And this doubt was even stronger after a 1:1 draw in the opening game against Sunderland at home, but with an away win against Arsenal last weekend even the most demanding fans of Liverpool can be satisfied. And with a great performance of Luis Suarez most of them have probably already forgotten Fernando Torres especially when Spaniard still fails to impress at Chelsea.
