Primera Division: Real Madrid – Athletic (22/01/2012)

Real Madrid has again failed to beat FC Barcelona in the El Classico. What is more Jose Mourinho stars have lost again at their own stadium and they are surely not favorites to qualify to next stage of Copa del Rey with the second game played in Camp Nou.

Before Real can again face Barca they will need to play their league game against Athletic. I could be a bit afraid that a game between two Gran Derbi clashes will not get a 100% focus from Galacticos but it all looks that Mourinho and especially his players know that league is their priority and even with losses against Barca they can get enough points to win title.

Injury news:
Athletic: Gabilondo, Ocio, Gurpegui, Castillo – out
Real: Khedira out, Di Maria – not likely to play

Primera Division: Valencia – Real Sociedad (14/01/2012)

Valencia is doing quite well in Primera Division keeping their place just behind the leading giants Real and Barcelona. However their recent games weren’t that great with a loss against Sevilla in Copa del Rey and a draw in La Liga against Villarreal.

Sociedad also lost their Copa game against Mallorca with a pretty bad 1:6 beating. And also got a draw in their last Primera Division game against Osasuna.

So both teams are in same run of results but it all looks that Valencia will be the one that will enjoy a win this evening.

Primera Divsion: Mallorca – Real Madrid (14/01/2012)

We all still remember last Grand Derbi in which Barcelona has beaten Real Madrid 3:1 at Santiago Bernabeu. We all are waiting for the next one that will come very soon in Copa del Rey. But for now let’s on La Liga and coming Mallorca game.

Mallorca doesn’t really look to be a team that could stop Galacticos. With only 19 points from 17 games the host team is 14th in La Liga table and it doesn’t look likely this situation can be improved against Real.

Mallorca did play very well in their last cup game when they smashed Real Sociedad 6:1. But their Primera Division performance is not that impressive.  They’ve draw their last game against Levante and lost 0:2 against Sociedad just 2 weeks before this heavy 6:1 beating in cup. One could assume it all means a growing form but it would be just too optimistic assumption.

Real since loosing against Barca won their all games winning twice in Copa against Ponferradina and Malaga and in La Liga against Sevilla and Granada.

Primera Division: Real Madrid – Granada CF (07/01/2012)

Real Madrid is coming back to Primera Division action this weekend with a home game against Granada FC. After loosing the Gran Derbi against Barcelona Jose Mourinho knows he can’t afford loosing points against such rivals as Granada especially at Santiago Bernabeu.

Real beaten Malaga in earlier in the week and secured its way into quarterfinals of Copa del Rey in which we are all expecting another great Gran Derbi.

Granada is not doing great in La Liga, but still managed to climb to 13th position, but the points differences in the bottom are really small and a likely loss in Madrid will probably mean  a drop to 15th. Still not that bad.

Odds for clear 1 are obviously very low. Real should be able to score a few goals so a handicap -2.75 looks ok with 1.63 from bet365.

Primera Division: Espanyol – Barcelona (08/01/2012)

From the very first view on this derby game you would expect an easy win from Barcelona. They are obviously favorites to win this one but having a look at head 2 head games and some of recent Catalans results I’m not that sure of this especially with odds on Barca win as low as 1.22.

Barcelona is not that perfect anymore and has already showed it can loose points against some pretty bad teams. And Espanyol this season is not really that bad being on 8th position in the league table.

Barca lost points in their last 2 out of 3 away games in Primera Division and after a break for World Club Championship and Christmas they might not be in top form.

A low stake bet on Espanyol with odds of 15.00 from Victor Chandler is worth taking. Might be also worth to consider a 1X with 4.20 from Will Hill.

Primera Division: Real Madrid – FC Barcelona (10/12/2011)

The time has come! The most thrilling game of the season not only in Spain is just around the corner and it all seems it will be much more competitive than ever before.

Both teams are obviously strong and have great stars in their starting line ups. But while last season was hugely dominated by the Catalans this year it all looks that Real has every chance to fight back and win the La Liga title back.

Jose Mourinho’s guys are already 3 points ahead of Barca with a game in hand, which means that if they manage to win in direct clash they might get 9 points advantage for the end of year.

There are no major injury problems in neither of teams. Barca will have to do without Adriano and Afellay while Real defense will need to survive without Carvalho. Also both biggest stars Ronaldo and Messi are in good shape so we will see another interesting clash.

With this kind of game it’s very hard to predict winner. It all looks that Real should be able to win but draw is also very likely. I prefer to sit down and watch the game rather than bet on it but if I have to chose I would pick both to score and 1 or 1X.

Primera Division: Malaga – Villareal 28/11/2011

In Spain same as always – Real and Barca on top but… behind them it’s getting more and more interesting. It all looks that one of the big powers – Villarreal is doing worse and worse and their place in the top 4 with Champions League qualifiers can be taken by Malaga.

The direct clash of those teams will be very interesting to watch.

Villarreal is not doing too well. In Champions League they lost another game, this time against Bayern Munchen (1:3). In La Liga they are also not doing too great with a 0:0 against Espanyol and a minimal win at home against Betis.

Villarreal hasn’t won an away game in Primera Division since March and a 1:0 win over Athletic.

In current season they got draws against mentioned Espanyol but also with Getafe and Atheltic, loosing with Real Madrid, Granada and Barcelona.

Malaga is on a good run that gave the team 5th place in the league. They’ve won their last game against Racing (3:1) also doing well in their last home game (2:1 against Espanyol).

Primera Division: Atletico Madrid – Levante 20/11/2011

It will be another pick that we publish in recent weeks with Levante game. Last time we’ve managed to make a correct prediction, when Valencia won at Levante 2:0. This time we do believe this club is again going to loose as it all looks that the great run of form that gave Levante 4th place in the league has finished.

Atletico is obviously a stronger team on paper. They haven’t been performing perfectly but when you look on their home record you will see they will be favorite in this game.

Atletico hasn’t yet lost at home having won their last game against Zaragoza and drawing in previous 2 against Mallorca and Sevilla.

We still think that Falcao is a great replacement for both Aguero and Forlan and the 7 goals he already scored will soon be increased by a few more.

Primera Division: Malaga – Getafe

Malaga had definitely impressed with some of their summer transfer moves. Still it’s not a reason to bet on the team but it brings some attention to its games.

When you take a closer look into this one you will see that statistics tell you who is the definite favorite here. Malaga has only played two home games this season winning both. In their first game they’ve smashed Granada 4:0 with 2 goals from Cazorla and Joaquin. Second win was not that high but against Athletic a 1:0 is still a very good result and it was again Cazorla that got the decisive goal.

Primera Division: Valencia – Granada

Those of you who have seen Champions League game between Chelsea and Valencia had a good chance to see both clubs potential. Valencia a solid opponent for stars packed Chelsea and as the result they’ve managed to get a decent draw. This is their second really good result against top flight teams after they’ve stopped Barcelona with a 2:2 draw.

Granada is definitely not a team that you would compare to Chelsea or Barca. So far they only managed to win points playing at home and this situation is not really likely to change this weekend.
